Veterans for America First Endorses Air Force Veteran Carlos De La Cruz for Congress in Texas’ 35th District
San Antonio, TX — Veterans for America First (VFAF), the national grassroots organization originally founded in 2015 as Veterans for Trump, proudly announces the endorsement of Carlos De La Cruz for Congress in Texas’ 35th Congressional District.
The endorsement was delivered by Kimberly Taiko Moyers, United States Navy Veteran, Texas State Chapter Vice President of Veterans for America First, and National Director of Vet Force.
“Carlos De La Cruz is the real deal,” said Moyers. “He is a battle-tested 20-year United States Air Force veteran who enlisted at just 18 years old and answered the call to serve our nation time and again.”
De La Cruz deployed multiple times to the front lines in the Middle East following the September 11 attacks, confronting terrorist threats in Iraq and Afghanistan with courage and unwavering commitment. Beyond overseas deployments, he also worked alongside U.S. Border Patrol agents on the southern border, conducting counter-narcotics operations targeting cartel activity and gaining firsthand knowledge of the security challenges facing American communities.
“This is not resume filler — it’s a lifetime forged in service, sacrifice, and steel,” Moyers continued. “Carlos has stared danger in the face and came out stronger. He’s ready to fight for the country he loves.”
After completing his distinguished military career, De La Cruz continued serving his community as a small business owner, husband, father, and proud conservative Texan rooted in San Antonio. Supporters say his real-world experience in national security and border protection sets him apart from career politicians.
“In Washington, we need leaders who understand national security from the inside out,” Moyers said. “Leaders who know what it takes to secure our borders, protect our troops, and defend American values against threats both at home and abroad. Carlos De La Cruz brings that grit, patriotism, and proven track record straight to Congress.”
Moyers also emphasized that De La Cruz represents the type of leadership veterans across Texas want to see in Washington.
“Texas veterans and patriots should stand strong behind Carlos De La Cruz,” she said. “He’s one of us — a veteran who has earned our trust through action, not words. Let’s send this Air Force hero to Capitol Hill to keep fighting for the freedoms we all swore to defend.”
