Veterans Leading from the Front in Fort Bend County

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Energy and excitement filled the room Tuesday evening as elected officials, veterans, community leaders, and grassroots supporters came together in Fort Bend County for a sold out Republican fundraiser honoring State Representative Matt Morgan and State Representative Gary Gates.

The capacity crowd delivered an unmistakable message. Fort Bend County conservatives are fired up, standing together, and ready to win in November.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Speaker of the Texas House joined the event, drawing an enthusiastic response from attendees as they spoke about defending Texas values, securing the border, protecting parental rights, strengthening public safety, expanding economic opportunity, and standing firmly with America’s veterans.

Justin Schiro proudly represented Veterans for America First and welcomed Governor Abbott, the Speaker, and Representatives Morgan and Gates. Schiro serves as the organization’s Texas Media Relations Officer and is a United States Army veteran who served in Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division.

Schiro’s presence reflected a powerful truth at the heart of the evening. Veterans are not standing on the sidelines. They are stepping forward, making their voices heard, and helping shape the future of Texas.
