Veterans for America First Texas State Chapter

America First Liaison Officer

Veterans for America First (VFAF) is proud to introduce Carmen Cavazos, who serves as the organization's Texas America First Liaison Officer. Carmen brings a lifetime of service, grassroots leadership, election integrity advocacy, and community involvement to the Veterans for America First mission.

A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Carmen answered the call to serve her country in 2002 when she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, completing recruit training at Parris Island, South Carolina. Following her military service, she received an Honorable Medical Discharge while holding the rank of Private First Class (E-2). Her commitment to fellow veterans continued through her active membership in the Marine Corps League McLemore Marines Detachment #4, where she helped support veterans while preserving the traditions and legacy of the Corps.

For many years, Carmen has been a respected leader in Texas grassroots politics and conservative activism. Her experience includes serving as CEO of the Saturday Menudo Club, Ambassador for Latinos for America First, Veterans for America First advocate and volunteer, Harris County Republican Party Precinct Chair 0763, Republican Party of Texas Election Integrity Regional Director, Harris County Republican Party Primary Deputy Director, and as an Election Judge, Alternate Judge, and Election Clerk.

Her dedication to serving others extends well beyond politics. Carmen actively volunteers with the City of Houston BARC Foster Program, Save Some Souls Rescue, and the Pancho Claus Toy Drive Benefit Program. Whether helping veterans, supporting animal rescue efforts, or assisting families during the holidays, she believes that meaningful service begins within the community.

Carmen also offers extensive political and campaign management experience. She served as Campaign Director for Julian Martinez's 2023 City of Houston campaign and Campaign Manager for Bianca Gracia's 2024 Texas House District 128 campaign. Professionally, she serves as an Executive Assistant to a Corporate Vice President, where she has developed exceptional organizational, administrative, and leadership skills.

As the Veterans for America First America First Liaison Officer, Carmen works to strengthen relationships between VFAF, grassroots organizations, community leaders, veterans, military families, first responders, and patriotic Americans committed to constitutional principles, election integrity, civic engagement, and the America First movement throughout Texas.

Reflecting on her new leadership role, Carmen said:

"I first served my country in uniform as a United States Marine, and that commitment to service has never ended. Whether supporting veterans, helping my community, protecting election integrity, or working alongside grassroots leaders, I believe every citizen has a role to play in preserving the freedoms we cherish. I am honored to serve as America First Liaison Officer and look forward to continuing the work of building stronger communities, empowering citizens, and advancing the principles that make our nation exceptional."

Veterans for America First is honored to have Carmen Cavazos serving in this important leadership position. Her military service, grassroots experience, dedication to conservative values, and commitment to veterans, first responders, military families, and local communities make her an outstanding representative of the America First movement in Texas.
