Veterans for America First Texas welcomes Adam and Alyssa Schoof into leadership roles shaped by military service, law enforcement, business, public office, and the strength of the military family.
Adam Schoof has been appointed Veterans for America First Texas Executive Legislative Director for Police and First Responders.
A United States Army veteran, Adam served as a Military Police Officer with the 227th Law Enforcement Detachment at Fort Drum, New York. He went on to build approximately 16 years of law enforcement experience, including more than nine years serving the City of Fulshear, Texas.
Adam is also a lifelong aviator who began flying at just 11 years old. While working in law enforcement, he used his own time and resources to help provide air transportation for people who otherwise could not afford transportation to hospitals and medical treatment.
In 2021, Adam survived a serious airplane crash and continued forward.
He is also the owner of MTex Logistics, a veteran owned Texas small business providing logistics, transportation, construction, and related services.
Adam later entered elected office, winning a seat on the Fort Bend Independent School District Board of Trustees, where his focus has included transparency, fiscal responsibility, parental involvement, public safety, and accountability.
In 2026, Veterans for America First recognized Adam as a Hero of the Month.
In his new role, Adam will bring firsthand experience from the military, law enforcement, business, aviation, and elected government into legislative efforts affecting police officers, firefighters, emergency responders, and veterans serving in public safety.
Alyssa Schoof has been appointed Veterans for America First Texas Blue Star Division Officer.
Born at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, Alyssa was raised in a family where military service was part of life. As the daughter and wife of Army veterans, she understands that when one person wears the uniform, the entire family carries part of the sacrifice.
Alyssa is a wife, mother, and big sister who believes deeply in family, patriotism, responsibility, and standing beside those who serve.
She works as Project Manager for her family’s veteran owned roofing company, helping lead a business built on hard work, integrity, and keeping your word.
Her commitment to military families comes from lived experience. She understands the deployments, long absences, uncertainty, missed milestones, and strength required from spouses, children, parents, and loved ones who hold the line at home.
As Texas Blue Star Division Officer, Alyssa will help represent military families and ensure their voices and sacrifices are not forgotten.
Adam and Alyssa bring two sides of the same American story.
Adam has worn the uniform, carried the badge, built a business, and served in elected office.
Alyssa has lived the military family experience from childhood into adulthood and understands the strength behind the servicemember.
Together, they bring duty, family, leadership, and service into Veterans for America First Texas.
Veterans for America First Texas proudly welcomes Adam Schoof as Executive Legislative Director for Police and First Responders and Alyssa Schoof as Texas Blue Star Division Officer.
Service before self.
